My baby has a cough w/ phlegm; 10 mos?

He'll be 10 months in a week. He has a cough w/ Phlegm that started Thursday evening. He's already coughed up some phlegm Thursday night; it was white. He doesn't have coughing fits, but he does cough and it's phlegmy; he coughs a bit while sleeping and wakes up, and a bit during the day. He's still active5ly playing. His doctor's office opens at 8am. I'm a new mom and I'd like to know from your experience if these things p. I am using baby vicks on his chest, saline drops and aspirator for his nose (which doesn't seem to be too stuffy) and a vaporizer. Do these things p or is it necessary to see a doctor. He hasn't had a fever since the onset.
