Can you have a sinus infection without a runny/stuffy nose?

Yes, use warm saline nasal irrigations 2-3 x a day to irrigate sinuses, you should have a culture done, cxr, immunoglobulins done for recurrent sinus infections, esp w fever. Advil or Motrin, you would need 600-800mg orally every 6-8 hours for a few days, Cipro or Levaquin is freq used as is Bactrim. Cystic Fibrosis should be evalutated for recurrent sinus infections. Get NeilMed nasal sinus rinse from Walmart. it's gross but it helps with the pain, mucus and reduces infections faster than antibiotics, you may need sinus surgery. Decongestants such as Afrin spray and Sudafed, 120mg 2x daily, anti inflammatories and antibiotics or steroid sprays are the treatment. I grew up with your same sx, and late in life was dx'd with CF via DNA in 2008. ENT doc should do a culture with a scope in your nose, they do "numb " it, and it's creepy feeling, hold still so he can see and get culture. I'd insist upon it or you are wasting your time and money.
