Does pulling teeth out by a dentist hurt? :|?

Tomorrow i have to have two teeth taken out on the top teeth, as im getting my top braces fitted on the 6th. I want to know, truthfully, if 'it hurts as im freaking out about it. I really dont want to do it, I know they numb it and stuff, but the last time i had a filling they hit my nerve. So i've been petrified ever since!
