How can I tell her I like her?

So I'm friends with this girl and we talk a lot and stuff. Recently, I've come to like her as more than just a friend. How can I get this across to her? Like should I subtly drop hints without telling her? Or should I just go and ask her on a date? Or any other way you could think of? I'm not sure how I should approach it to her.
